More Power Lines are Coming to Texas
The wave of electric transmission lines impacting property throughout Texas is upon us. ERCOT and the PUC have developed a plan to increase reliability to the Permian Basin and the larger grid, resulting in over $30 billion dollars of transmission infrastructure to be constructed. This requires hundreds of miles of transmission infrastructure across the state, that the PUC have sole jurisdiction over siting. A discussion on how local land use is affected, how the PUC oversees the siting, and how landowners and local governments can participate.
