Privacy Enforcement (Jun 2026)

It’s been ten years since the General Data Protection Regulations were passed. In those ten years, twenty states in the United States have passed their own individual consumer data protection laws, including the state of Texas nearly three years ago. We now look back and study enforcement trends to help our clients prepare for what lies ahead. This panel presentation provides an update about, among other activities, the focus of Consortium of Privacy Regulators and the FTC’s partnership with several state regulators. The takeaway provides insights about state and federal regulatory priorities and help prepare you for the reaction of a privacy law compliance officers to common violations.
